Red for Brown Hair turned orange — how do I color-correct?

It's come to our attention that some of our clients received jars of Red for Brown Hair Coloring Conditioner that appeared orange rather than red. If your hair has been affected, don't worry — we're here to help! Our Red line is currently being reformulated, but in the meantime here are a few options to color-correct orange hair:

1. Re-color

Applying Pink for Brown Hair Coloring Conditioner — our most-pigmented Pink shade — over your current color will give you the next-best thing to red.

2. Tone

Use our Pastel Blue or Pastel Purple Coloring Conditioners to neutralize unwanted orange tones.

Check out the strand-tests below to see how each of these shades will look over Red for Brown Hair on dark brown, medium brown, and medium blonde hair. Be sure to strand-test before applying all-over, to make sure you're getting the results you want!

Results on dark brown hair.

Results on medium brown hair.

Results on medium blonde hair.
